Just a few photos to show you what winter is like around Twistgates. Far reaching views over the Blackdown Hills, skeletal outlines of trees, frosty mornings, sometimes snow and then the promise of things to come when the snowdrops start to open.

As we’re surrounded by dairy farms, and the milk has to be collected, snow very rarely blocks us in as the local farmers are brilliant at clearing the roads – yet another advantage of living in this beautiful area of East Devon. We’re open all year so come and enjoy this special season – we’ve got wood burning stoves in the self catering cottages, perfect for toasting your toes, and at this time of year we have some two night short breaks on offer.
