When Twistgates Farm ceased as a working farm the building housing the dairy, fodder store and milking parlour was sympathetically converted into three delightful holiday cottages now known as Twistgates Farm Cottages. Beams and exposed stone work have been retained enhancing the rustic charm of each cottage. Set within their own grounds away from the farm house they offer very comfortable self catering accommodation with maximum privacy.
Each cottage has central heating, a wood-burning stove, private patio, television with Freeview, DVD/CD player, digital radio and a selection of books and games, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The communal laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, there are outdoor drying facilities and ample parking. Wi-Fi signal available on site and in Weathervane Cottage.
Garden Cottage sleeps 2/3, Meadow Cottage sleeps 4 and Weathervane Cottage (single storey) sleeps 5. On arrival we welcome you with a complimentary cream tea of home made scones, jam from our own fruit and local clotted cream and, as we live next door, we are on hand if needed.
The large lawn boarded by trees and small orchard in front of Meadow and Weathervane Cottages is available to everyone and is perfect for family games, a great place to watch the many varieties of birds that visit the garden or simply as a quiet spot to take in the peacefulness of the surrounding Blackdown Hills.
These self catering holiday cottages are equipped with many little extras to make them a real home from home. On warm evenings sit on the patio, clink the ice in your glass and watch day turn to night or, if a little chillier, light the wood burner and settle in for an evening of relaxation.
